Shortly after SIS was formed, and in honour of Sri Swami Satchidananda, it was decided to support the Satchidananda Prison Project, distributing free books on Yoga and spirituality to prisons in the USA. This project was spear-headed by Swami Premananda who was at one time PA to Swami Satchidananda.
