SIS supports families and carers of children with special needs, the homeless, and families affected by illness. The main projects include ONYOM – Little Miracles, set up for children with special needs, Hogar Betania (a facility for the homeless), Molokai Special Needs Centre, and a family in Seville with three children suffering from Mitochondrial Disease. SIS also hosted the “Energy for Life” event in aid of AEPMI (an association for patients suffering from Mitochondrial Disease). The event raised €30,000 for the establishment of a national register of Mitochondrial patients.
