Praythna Charitable Trust
On Monday 31st January 2011, SIS visited a project called Praythna Trust in Mysore, Southern India.
Praythna is run by Kanchana Kathiresan, she works with slum and street communities, offering children and mothers a quality and opportunity in life. The school is run Montessori method, there are presently around 60 children and 20 mothers.
The trust was registered on February 22nd 2007 in Mysore. The trust aims to work for the development of under privileged, slum dwelling families in and around Mysore.
Praythna offers a Volunteer Program that SIS is supporting... You can volunteer by teaching Yoga, English classes, gardening, cooking and building.
